This first one uses some of the new Mix the media stencils and embellishments , they are so fun to work with!

I used some texture paste through the large dot stencil, and the new wire words are so cool!

Lots of fun Die cut shapes on this one!

Fun Stuff....

I am excited to share my first project as Guest Designer for Mei Li Paperie this month.  I met the girls from Mei Li Paperie  when they came to CHA in January  and being fellow Aussies I recognised their accent straight away. So  I was very chuffed when they emailed me recently asking me to guest design for them. They sent me some yummy Basic Grey Second City collection pieces as well as some other goodies.
My first layout uses this months Colour Challenge .

If you want to play along there is a fabulous  Echo Park Creative Agenda prize pack to win. See their blog here to find out all the details.
I loved the bright bold colours and patterns so couldn't go past these crazy fun photos of my eldest recently.

I teamed the Kelly Purkey papers with that Heidi Swapp Project Life Stamp and added a touch of texture by using the Heidi Swapp Mini pattern stencil with some Matte Gel Medium both which they have in store.

I layered those frames over my photos to hide some distracting figures in the photos.

and of course the all important journaling!

I hope you can play along!

August...

Being the first of the month it's timely that I share my August Memory Planner pages. As August was our local fair time  I took that as my inspiration for my prompts page. I printed off that vintage ferris wheel photo from the internet and combined it with some fun photo booth photos I took of my boys.

My youngest went to a frozen party so it was fun to add part of the party bag to my pocket pages.

...and our visit to the fair was totally cool!

I added in my number from our fun run!

I used some of the new Heidi Swapp Project Life cards and  simply slid them into my planner pockets.

with lots of interactive flaps.

You can see the back of the cards simply show through the reverse side of the pockets and I utilized  the back of the cards as mats for my photos.

I added in a small merit certificate my youngest received.

...and finally my calendar page filled up with some fun embellies.

Star Wars and Lego!

Sharing a couple of projects I created using this months Boys Of Sumer kits from Scraptastic.
When I first saw that paper plane paper I immediately thought Star Wars Star Fighters and remembered this photo of my youngest I had taken recently! It was a perfect match.

That white flash is a die cut from the kit ,the colours didn't suit my layout so  I just turned it over and adhered it upside down!

That little space invaders wood veneer reminded me of his helmet so I had to add that to that tag too!

When we were at Legoland the boys favourite ride was definitely the driving school ride.
I thought that dot pattern paper from the kit looked just like the top of lego pieces so it was a perfect fit for my layout.

That wood veneer car was just the cutest  I had to include it in my project.

...and I couldn't resist using all the "race" stickers from the kit as well!
