Guest DT

Being the first of the month I have some challenges to share with you today. Firstly these is a new sketch over at StuckSketches you can see I flipped the sketch to better suit my photo.

Secondly I was asked to be GD this month at Artastic Challenge Blog we were given a painting to use as inspiration, we also had to use feathers, playing cards and the colours brown in our layout. I hope you can join in the fun over there with me this month , there are some awesome prizes up for grabs

Luckily I had that cute little card, button and vintage disc in my stash from lilredrocketbuttons

Finally the next challenge....

Finally my wonderful friend taryn and I can share our next challenge layout, this time we have used some photos from a couple of weeks ago when her son Curty came over for a play. Addison put a plastic duck down a golf bag, I decided to try a little problem solving with them and showed them how to fill the bag with water to raise the duck, then I remembered a book I had about the same concept so read that to them too....I guess the teacher in me never rests LOL !!

Of course that fire truck is from 3tails ...mmm how did I do for a girly layout ?

Still trying to come down from cloud nine about my DT spot at hambly, thank you all so much for your lovely comments, it really makes me feel loved!

Till next time...

STUCK in the mud

A couple of posts ago I showed you a layout of Larsen being saved by Addison from the mud.....Here is the before...tee hee, he wanted soooo desperately to play in the mud with Addison but once he got in and was stuck he cried until he was rescued by his big Brother.

I have used a scrummy button from lilredrocketbuttons and if you head over there Shell has stocked the store with some fabulous new goodies...some I will be sharing on layouts very soon.

PS check out the new blinkie for stuck sketches....to the right on my sidebar! If you head on over to stuck now there is a fabulous RAk going on if you post the new blinkie on your blog.

Here's one I prepared earlier...

TEEHEE I always wanted to say that!!!
I created this layout about 6 weeks ago and for some reason I never posted it here!
This is actually an old photo of Larsen and I that I have tried to scrap 3 times but the colours just never worked for me.
At last I am happy with the outcome.

jillibean soup

I have been drooling over jillibean soup papers for a while now so when Suzanne from Handmade from Suzanne here sent me these gorgeous papers and embellies for my first DT pack, I was over the moon.
I managed 3 layouts and two cards, the cards I will share at a later date.

Addison, Larsen and my good friend Taryn's son Curtis feeding the ducks at the local pond.

This one is actually an older photo of Addison's first shoes. I loved Larsen's layout of his first shoes, so I decided to do one of Addison's too.Got to love a one year old without a care in the world.

If you head on over to Handmade with Suzanne now there is 25% sale off everything in stock, don't miss out.

15th challenges

Sorry I couldn't think of a more exciting heading today...Scrapbook overload from my fabulous weekend I think.
Firstly its a new sketch over at the new home of stuck. Here is the sketch

And my take on the sketch

Larsen's gorgeous curls...I am determined to keep them for as long as possible.

Over at scrapawhile Alita set the challenge this month. we had to use a 6x4 photo of a couple, A single word heading, a rub on and a border punch.

Thankyou to the lovely taryn for the lovely websters trim.

Thanks to everyone who came and said hello at the show over the weekend. I had a fabulous time working with Alita and Tracey at the scrapawhile stand and didn't break the budget too much, now I can't wait to play with my goodies.

the commando

When Larsen started crawling he did it commando style, I love watching him pull himself along with his arms.
I have used a lilredrocket vintage book round layered over the shipping tag...thanks sarah for the inspiration.

That birdie is from here and that fun windmill chippie is from 3tails. You will see lots of new chippie pieces from 3 tails at the convention this weekend, tell them I sent you if you are going.
I hope to see you there

his hero

A couple of weeks ago the boys got stuck into the mud(literally) at the building site across the road. Larsen wasn't too happy about it and started crying and asked to be helped out...before I could get to him Addison had pulled him out....my heart just broke at his kindness and thoughtfullness, I hope Addison is always Larsen's hero.
I created this layout based on the sketch of the month over at handmadewithsuzanne
the sketch

And my take...

I recently purchased some of these gorgeous kraft envelopes and have been dying to use them from Maya road, and a mixture of October Afternoon, jillibean soup and Hambly pattern papers.

If anyone is heading to the paper craft convention this week at Brisbane please pop into the Scrapawhile stand and say hello , I would love to meet you!
