His first day...

So technically this photo wasn't his first day...it was the day before when we went for some photos at his school, and if you recall luckily enough as my camera broke on his  first day of school...but I still wanted to use it as it was my favourite photo from that day. This was another of my projects from this months gallery reveals at Elle's Studio. The tags are just the perfect element to finish any page.

I just love this little glassine bag from Greatest View, perfect for keeping some memorabilia he brought home for me the first day.....and one of my favourite back to school badges also from Greatest View!

You can see I have added some punched letters and hearts as well.

These are the Greatest View goodies I have used on this project.

Four...

The February gallery is live over at Elle's Studio .  I hope you can pop by as all the girls have done an incredible job this month! Here is the first of my projects. I wanted to create a layout about my sons and their little friends Kate and Alex. The four of them are the greatest of friends....I hope they stay so into the future!
Elle's tags are just sooo versatile I love to layer and cluster a variety together!

two...

I have one last layout to share from the gorgeous Elle's Studio kit for February. It was filled with the most gorgeous papers and embellies.
In January this year my eldest and his sweet friend Kate went on a  little date to see Angelina Ballerina on stage, these were my favourite photos from that day. I have some hidden journalling in the Maya Rd envelope, a sweet letter to Kate!

Dear Santa...

My eldest wanted a lego Space station for Christmas so he wrote his first ever letter to Santa....The expression on his face Christmas morning when he opened the wrapping paper was so worth the trouble of finding the Space station last minute...I have used this weeks sketch over at Elle's Studio to complete my layout...I loved the banner so much but I switched out the tags for photos!

Love these Christmas tags from Elle's Studio .

Till next time...

home...

Recently I was asked to create a project using X-press It masking tape and a canvas. Anyone who knows me knows I dont like to get my fingers dirty LOL....So off I went to U Tube to learn some messy mixed media techniques..WOW I loved it, it was sooooo much fun and I like how my end project turned out. Not as messy and grungy as the pros but nevertheless messy for me.

There is a competition going on over at The X-press It blog for a chance to win some goodies, I hope you can take the time to have a go.

I hope he soars...

My eldest has just started school and  a couple of days before he did we took him down to to his new school for some photos, (and luckily we did as my camera died on the morning of his first day).
I wanted to create a layout for him about my hopes  for him starting school and and his journey of life long learning.
OHHHHH I have used some gorgeous goodies from Greatest View . That fabulous school button that I placed on my wings...and that handmade yoyo button that I made into a sun by sewing rays with my sewing machine. If you are after any of these or other gorgeous handmade items head on over to the blog before they sell out!
love this gorgeous photo of my boy!
